WINLPG: Empowering Women in LPG

The Women in LPG Global Network (WINLPG), launched in 2015 by the World LPG Association (WLPGA), recognizes the critical need to promote women and young talent in the LPG industry. WINLPG provides a strong platform for professional development, enabling women to connect, exchange ideas, and learn from each other.

Fostering an Inclusive Environment

WINLPG serves as a platform for women to connect, exchange ideas, and learn, fostering a more inclusive and diverse environment. The network has over 3,300 members and eleven active national chapters. WINLPG champions gender equality and female empowerment.

Acknowledging Excellence through WINLPG Awards

Since 2018, WINLPG has celebrated women's impact on the LPG industry through the Woman of the Year Award. In 2019, the Young Woman of the Year Award was introduced, followed by the Field/Technical Groundbreaker Award in 2023. These awards recognize innovation, leadership, and technical contributions, demonstrating the crucial role women play in the sector.

Joint Woman of the Year 2023, Chief Operating Officer, SHV Energy. Kartalian is a champion of WINLPG and is inspired by the growing momentum and passion for advancing gender balance in the liquid gas industry. At SHV Energy, there is an aim for 25% of senior leadership positions to be held by women by 2030.

Julianna Kamaruddin:

Joint Woman of the Year 2023, CEO, NGC Energy. Kamaruddin is proud of her team's dedication and emphasizes that the award reflects their efforts.
